2008 Virginia Chapter of the Year

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our chapter has been name VA Chapter of the Year for 2008. This would not have happened if you all had not volunteered and participated in all our functions. We were judged on our service to the community, member participation at meetings, participation in AARP Volunteer Day, our programs, and our communication which includes the Perspectives, Channel 18 presentations and Lake Currents. Our social as well as our volunteer work. We submitted six pages describing our activities as well as supporting documentation. The presentation of the award will be November 16 in Charlottesville.
